They sat in silence. It was desolate, but peaceful. Winds rippled through the thin air, whistling, humming. They were lost, they were alone, they were together. Time hung stale in the air, they were unaware of it. Had it stopped? Was it running? It was dark, pitch dark. Darkness engulfed them. They were heroes, they were each other’s sidekicks, they were villains. One was tall, The Other taller.
‘Where are we?’ One murmured.
‘It doesn’t matter.’ Uttered The Other.
Again silence befriended them. Silence, darkness, wind, or winds, it was evident that either One or The Other had been silently passing wind for some time. Neither mentioned, nor owned up to it. They were under a tree. One leaned against the bark, whilst The Other’s head was perched upon One’s knee.
